Altissimo Music Groups:

Terry Blaine & The Swingin' Sunshine Boys

This trio, each member of which has been highly acclaimed for their individual performances, features a show entitled "Swinging the Benny Goodman Songbook". This show celebrates the hot swing music of Benny Goodman's exciting clarinet, Teddy Wilson's unforgettable piano and the definitive song interpretations of the many great, female vocalists who sang with the Goodman band, such as Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Mildred Bailey, Ella Fitzgerald and others. These artists and their music were a prime force in defining the Swing Era of the 1930s & 40s. Their recordings remain popular today.

The Big Four

A quartet, created to emulate, but not necessarily imitate the great recordings made by Sidney Bechet and Muggsy Spanier in 1940. This group plays some of the tunes recorded by that great quartet and expands the repertoire to tunes, we feel, Sidney and Muggsy would have done, had they continued to record.

Allan Vaché Swingtet

A small group, creating swing and mainstream recordings. Styles running from the vibes and the Quintette, but not necessarily limited to the music and ideas of these groups.
